Rüdiger Grube und Björn Knothe im Interview

Knothe: The subject of ‘new work’ is presently on everybody’s lips. As an executive consultancy, we feel that new work has also become established in top management. What is your position on topics such as home office, sabbatical, parental leave etc. from a top management perspective?

Grube: Success depends on a company‘s employees. In order to reinforce their commitment to the company, especially in today’s employment situation, businesses need to become attractive employers. Attractiveness rises, among others, with the degree of individualization of different forms of work. Every employee faces a different life situation – be it children, a tight financial situation, a single lifestyle, or an abundance of other challenges. The more individual consideration is shown for these matters, the more popular an employer or company becomes. Companies that aim to become attractive employers may therefore not ignore these new work forms.
